We are a happy family. We come from all corners of the earth. Over three generations we cover Ireland, India, Portugal, Germany, Denmark, Malaysia and South Korea. I (mum) have written a number of children's stories (and a great short story and an article on surviving motherhood) but am yet to find a publisher who knows good work when s/he sees it! No really, rejection is tough to take but I'm fine. I will persevere. My children are intercountry adoptees from South Korea and they are absolutely wonderful! We've all been blessed. I have written 'around' them but both the adoptive community and the subsequent market for this sort of story are small in Australia. We now at home though, have the opportunity to incorporate another fascinating culture into our fold. I hold Bachelor of Education in Early Childhood Education and a Graduate Diploma in Media (Film, TV and Sound). I'd love to be a writer in the main and am working towards this goal. I have worked for the Australian Government for a number of years and learned a lot. I am very grateful for to have had this experience and I believe that everything happens as it should. Currently my son is in kindergarten and I'm wondering if I'm going to pass! Great expectations placed on him by his private school and far too much homework for someone so young. Then there's the carpark mafia and the mothers'-superior who laud over we mere mortals ... or so they think... (!) My daughter is about to turn 3 years old and is just perfect. We're a happy family hoping for the best and doing all we can to make our lives the very best they an be. That's all for now - thank you for taking the time to share my story!
