Josh Bartch is an experienced entrepreneur, investor, and consultant with over 15 years in the global capital markets. His career has included founding and advising multiple companies while participating in transactions totaling more than a billion dollars. His focus has remained consistent—supporting businesses through mergers, acquisitions, financing, reverse mergers, and strategic growth in the private and public sectors.
He is the CEO of MavDB Consulting, LLC, a firm he established after moving to Puerto Rico, and the founder of Blackstone Mercantile Group, an investment fund created to serve sophisticated investors. Across these ventures, he works with companies seeking to expand their market presence, access new capital, and transition into public markets. His experience spans major international exchanges such as the NYSE, Nasdaq, London Stock Exchange, Euronext, the Canadian Securities Exchange, and the Hong Kong Stock Exchange.
Josh Bartch began his journey in business while attending Colorado State University. While still in school, he launched his first company and successfully sold it, laying the groundwork for a career centered on building and scaling ventures. In 2007, he co-founded a digital transcription business that provided services for legal, medical, academic, and corporate clients. It earned recognition for reliable and accurate delivery, helping it serve clients nationwide.
In 2011, he launched a private investment and advisory firm focused on early and growth-stage companies. The firm worked across various industries, supporting strategic partnerships, raising capital, and helping companies prepare for public listings. His work emphasized practical, scalable strategies and long-term value creation.
After relocating to Puerto Rico in 2020, he formed MavDB Consulting, LLC. The firm delivers advisory services tailored to capital markets, investor communication, and cross-border listings. Through direct engagement with leadership teams, he helps businesses assess their current position, define growth paths, and execute strategies that align with their goals. His hands-on style ensures that each client receives tailored insights and focused support.
In 2024, Josh Bartch founded Blackstone Mercantile Group Ltd SAC, a smart fund registered in the Bahamas. The fund was designed to offer investors access to global opportunities through a flexible, risk-aware structure. Built within the Smart Fund regulatory framework, it reflects his continued efforts to create investment platforms that match evolving market needs while maintaining international compliance standards.
Throughout his career, he has worked on structuring public offerings and helping companies adapt to the demands of capital markets. His understanding of regulations and business experience allows him to guide clients through complex decisions and long-term planning with clarity and consistency.
Outside of business, Josh Bartch supports several charitable efforts. He has donated to ND Hope to support school-building efforts in Africa and has contributed to hurricane relief in Puerto Rico. He also gives to organizations that serve veterans and first responders and supports Boxing Bullies, a youth-focused nonprofit in Puerto Rico that provides safe spaces for training and personal development through boxing.
In his spare time, he enjoys golfing and traveling. He sees golf as a way to practice focus and build meaningful relationships in a low-pressure setting. Traveling helps him stay open to new ideas and perspectives, often offering inspiration that influences his personal and professional life.
Josh Bartch studied finance and general subjects at Colorado State University and the Metropolitan State University of Denver. He now lives in Puerto Rico with his son Maverick and continues to support companies and investors as they explore opportunities in global markets.
