I'm a self-employed researcher and consultant working in the field of post-16 education and training. I've had an interesting and varied career, beginning in social work and then moving on to vocational training and qualifications. Over the last few years I've been involved in helping to develop or evaluate a lot of national programmes in this area.
Now that I'm moving into retirement mode it's very important to me to use my time well and 'to make a difference' to the communities' to which I belong - including this one. I'll be writing about this issue and about my other passion, for all things Spanish, including the language, and for Galicia in Northern Spain where I have a second home.
Although vastly experienced in writing complex research reports this is my first bash at writing of this type! Getting up to speed with all the associated tasks, downloading photos and other content, making links, understanding SEO are likely to present me with considerable challenges - maybe I'll even write about that too! You can also follow my progress, and my thoughts and reflections on this, on my blog.
