Julie is the sole proprieter and creative talent behind Level Up, a company that develops marketing and business development solutions for small businesses and nonprofit organizations.
Julie hails from the nonprofit world as an experienced non-profit manager with a strong marketing and communications background and a well-rounded skill set, which includes graphic design, copy writing, public speaking, strategic planning, grant writing, fundraising, team-building, and day-to-day business management.
Beginning her career in marketing and graphic design, Julie excelled in print and editorial layout, winning design and marketing awards from the Florida Press Association. She since developed her administrative skills, which led to her career in nonprofit management.
While working full-time, Julie developed a portfolio of freelance marketing projects with a clientele in diverse fields including photography, law, nonprofit, restaurant, real estate, and even bus safety! It has been Julie’s long-time dream to go into business for herself serving clients who see a need or an opportunity in the community and have the ambition go after it full-throttle.
Julie takes an honest and innovative approach to work, tackling projects solo or utilizing teams to overcome challenges with a view toward long-term sustainability. In August, Julie will complete a prestigious Ladder to Leadership fellowship with the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation in conjunction with the Center for Creative Leadership, which is an internationally acclaimed institute for professional development.
Julie and her husband, Josh, live in Alabama, with their son, Lucas, who shows promise as the next great LEGO engineer.
