Kathryn considers herself as a strong advocate for the promotion of the recognition of professional "credentialled" or "licensed" nutritionists, not the "nutritionists" produced by colleges that do not provide the education needed to actually entertain the title of "nutritionist". Our profession is regulated and has oversight. Consumers should be able to put more trust in those that are properly educated, trained, competency tested, certified by an organization with requirements to maintain current in the field and are bound by ethical standards and obligations, such as an RD or RDN.
