By the time I was twenty, I had been in 13 countries, spoke two langauges fluently, a third good enough that you could drop me anywhere and I could find my way around and a fourth in which I have to use to this day my hands and feet and whatever else I can find to get around.
By now, I am married, a mother and live in the woods of lovely state of Maine. Actually, I live in one of the bigger cities, but I have been told numerous times by my family, friends and others that I live in the sticks. So, I guess I live in the sticks... surrounded by three hospitals, so guess what I get to hear all day long?
Could be worse, for the first 18 years of my life I lived right next to a railroad station. Noise does not bother me much anymore. So yeah, I live in the sticks with an airport, from where I can go at least once a year to whereever I want to go. Germany, usually.
Other than that, I work for a local university and yes, I write. Stories mostly, but there is so much more and that is why I am here. I realized that I want to share so many things from places, foods, experiences that I believe people can simply enjoy and hopefully get back to me with because they either disagree, agree, or give me suggestions on where to go next! I still say that you find THE best home made ice cream in a small town in Italy. I think I spent 50% of my money in that place over two weeks. But anyhow, I am getting into a blog here.
