Lee Michael Generous attended the University of Massachusetts Amherst, earning dual bachelor’s degrees in Economics and Political Science in 2004. While in college, he launched a small business to help cover tuition costs, gaining hands-on experience in entrepreneurship and management. His pursuit of education continued with a Certificate in Financial Planning from Boston University’s Center for Professional Education, followed by the Chartered Financial Consultant (ChFC) designation through The American College of Financial Services. He later became an Enrolled Agent (EA), certified by the IRS to represent taxpayers in all areas of taxation, further broadening his expertise in tax compliance and planning.
His professional career began at Fidelity Investments in Boston in 2005, where he gained valuable experience across multiple departments, including pricing, cash management, and family office services. He worked closely with high-net-worth clients, ensuring accuracy in financial data, coordinating trading operations, and supporting clients in achieving their long-term objectives. His leadership and dedication earned him recognition and advancement within the company.
In 2015, Lee transitioned to an independent LPL advisory firm in Braintree, Massachusetts, where he served as a Wealth Advisor for nearly seven years. He managed a large portion of the firm’s client accounts, providing comprehensive planning covering investments, taxes, retirement, estate, and risk management. His process-driven approach improved operational efficiency and helped double the firm’s assets under management.
