I'm looking at the back side of 40 but feel like the front side of 20 although I do hope I have the wisdom and experience of at least 30. I love to write, research, talk, laugh, dream, dance---and now this is sounding like a personals ad.

I have a BFA in Graphic Design. I also worked as a paralegal for many years. I write often and have been for years. Currently I teach Graphic Design courses at a junior college. I am a typography geek. In fact, upcoming articles will begin to feature information about typography and how important it is (it really is! I'll prove it) and common mistakes people make. (I can hear the collective sigh of relief).

I am the recently single mother (personals again?) of three sons and they have raised me well. Nothing scares me. Or intimidates me. It's a good feeling. Okay, snakes might scare me a little and cockroaches can do me in for a few hours, but don't tell anybody.

I love reading and learning and communicating and it looks like I'll be spending some time here. ~ Kirsten
