Online Now Icons I'm on a journey of healing... I am a 44 year old born again christian woman who is healing from a past of emotional, mental, verbal, sexual abuse, over eating and codependency. I had a pretty bad childhood, i always wanted to be loved, so i looked for love in all the wrong places, met guys who abused me with words and emotionally. When i was 6 years old i was sexually abused by my fathers best friend son, he was 19. I put this experience in the bottom of my heart thinking that it never happend, i really believed it, i almost forgot about it, at least i tried but then another incident happened in my life that marked me forever, when i was 7 years old in the school i use to attend a teacher abused me, beating me, hiding me in the janitors closet, abusing me with words, it's like something wanted to crush me, but God had mercy He protected me. Years later when i came to Christ God started to heal me and i had to go there again, i had to dig in deep and remember all those bad experiences, in order to be healed i had to remember, i did. I cried and cried because i was hurting. God started to help me understand that i needed healing, i had to surrender to God and ask Him to do His will in my life. I was always over eating, this was a high for me, when i ate after eating i felt sleepy so i slept and slept mostly all the time to run away from the pain, at least for a little while. I felt good when i ate, but i was killing myself. When i ate i felt happy i felt in control. I had diabetes and pains in my body because of my weight. I also suffered of a terrible depression and panic attacks, they were so severe that sometimes i wanted to just dissapear. God started to show me His plans for my life, plans to help me be free of hurt, shame, abuse, depression, guilt and so many things. God started to clean a rock that inside had a diamond...me. God always sees us as diamonds. We are precious to Him. I met my husband John, He loved me, i was a heavy girl and He loved me. I got really sick because i was over weight and God put in my heart to loose weight i decided to do something. My gastric bypass surgery was in 2007, i have lost 150 pounds. But the surgery is only a tool, you don't loose weight with just the surgery, you need to ask God to help you, surrender your bad habits, hang ups and heart to Jesus. Pray, exersize, eat healthy and small portions, and drink lots of water. Why am i here? To encourage other women who have been abused or who are being abused, women who over eat just to forget, or hide a pain, i want them to find themselves, to know how beautiful they are, to know that Jesus Christ wants to heal us and set us free, yes we can be free. Dont let anybody put you down, dont let anybody tell you that your not worthy, or ugly or stupid. My parents loved us very much but they were also abused as children so they always called us names like stupid, good for nothing, ugly words that i dont want to write here, i believed those words, i totally believed that i was stupid and even ugly. But God had other plans for me, plans to restore my heart and soul and teach me that i was beautiful because He created me. And i want you to know that you are God's very precious child who He loves very much. Dont stay there crying stand up and fight and i'm not refering to a physical fight, fight for your healing and hapiness. A man that makes you cry and hits you is not a real man, he does NOT deserve you. So stand up, leave this abuser behind and start your new life, start this journey of healing. God loves you so much, He wants to hug you, love you, guide you, and transform you. God wants to help you be free and loose weight, nothing is impossible for God. This journey may be tough at times but at the end you will see it's worth it. Open your wings and fly to your new you, to your new beggining, Jesus wants you to be happy, He loves you. God does not make junk, He created beauty when He created you. In 2007 i had gastric bypass surgery and i have lost 150 pounds, my goal now is to loose 20 pounds. I am a outreach minister, christian vocalist and songwriter. I have a Bachelors Degree in Communications and Journalism, graduated 1989, also studied voice (Singing-vocal techniques & Training), Vocal Interpretation, Popular latin music in the Puerto Rico Conservatory of Music. My goal is to keep focused on Jesus and my personal journey of healing. I know that nothing is impossible for Jesus. I hope my story will encourage you to be who God wants you to be. I'm not all there yet, i still a work in progress but it's so good to know that Jesus loves ME. And Jesus loves YOU...very much.

UPDATE: I am now working on my new songs, songs of healing and hope for my 5TH CD, ill be singing 5 songs in English and 5 songs in Spanish. I am also working on a song for President Obama for his campaigne. When i write a song i focus on experiences ive had, and emotions or situations that i have experienced myself. Music is the most precious gift that Jesus has given me. I hope you enjoy my page and also my music. God bless you all.
