Plato is my friend - Aristotle is my friend - Truth is my friend to a greater extent

This short, simple and powerful phrase has become my motto. From the influence of parents, teachers and even friends we follow on something like HubPages we can gain knowledge, a sound understanding of powerful principles and even a framework for our own personalities.

But even great thinkers like Plato, Aristotles and Socrates are mere co-pilots to truth. Or maybe it's better to say that Truth is the navigator. Denial and ignorance of truth is the single most corrupting factor of any society (in my humble opinion) and in any age. Knowledge is not enough, opportunity is not enough. In the end we must have truth.

I will likely be viewed, at first glance, as harsh or rude. I speak plainly and trust that those who engage me will be intelligent. I have a great sense of humor and my ego is nowhere near squishy. I like to receive constructive criticism and I dole it out in kind.

If I ever call somebody ignorant, I'm being literal, not inflammatory. "Ignorant" is a powerful, if misunderstood, word. I endevor to curb the knee-jerk reaction to being called ignorant. We are all ignorant of many things. Forming opinions in ignorance is foolish and so when we see ignorance, we must confront it. Society walks around on eggshells too much.

My wife and I are closing in on our 4th anniversary. I have a two year old son with another due in October '10. Life has become very rich and as the sun continues to rise on (what I consider) the second chapter of my life, I find myself seeking debate, willing to shift my thinking as I learn from others and joining in that great push to change the world.

I love language, music, philosophy and sports. I speak Polish and English and my German is in need of some WD - 40. I sing, talk and, more and more...I listen.

Join me in the pursuit of truth. Help me see your point of view and be willing to change your mind, if you find what I offer to be convicing. I will make that promise to you.
