Marc A. Korenberg is a seasoned finance executive whose extensive career spans over two decades. Leadership roles across diverse sectors, including finance, operations, and strategic business management, distinguish him. His ability to navigate complex business environments and a strong track record of driving operational improvements have positioned him as a trusted leader in every organization he has been a part of.
Marc’s career began after graduating from the University of Vermont in 1999 with a Bachelor of Science in Business. He furthered his expertise by earning an MBA in Finance from Keller Graduate School of Management. His first significant role was at UBS Investment Bank in New York City, where he worked in corporate finance. Early in his career, he was recognized for his talent, particularly his ability to develop financial strategies and assist senior management with key decision-making. His work at UBS laid the foundation for his deep understanding of financial markets and corporate strategy.
However, a defining moment in Marc’s life came in 2001, when the September 11 tragedy reshaped his career trajectory. Moved by the events and feeling a strong sense of duty, he left the finance industry and enlisted in the United States Army. His military service began with Infantry school, followed by Airborne Paratrooper jump school, and eventually training in Special Forces. He served in the 82nd Airborne Division until 2005, gaining invaluable leadership experience and a heightened sense of discipline and teamwork. These lessons in leadership and resilience would stay with him as he transitioned back to civilian life.
After leaving the Army, Marc entered the motorcycle industry, joining a family-owned dealership in Bear, Delaware. Initially working in sales, he quickly applied his financial acumen to the Business and transitioned into the finance department. His ability to manage financial strategy and day-to-day operations led to his promotion to General Manager for Sales and Finance. Determined to return to finance, Marc moved to California after completing his MBA. He joined Zeltiq Aesthetics as a Business and Financial Analyst and, over time, advanced to the role of Director of Commercial Operations. He led this position's business intelligence, sales operations, and marketing functions, contributing significantly to the company’s growth. His ability to manage cross-functional teams and optimize financial strategies earned him a promotion to Director of Finance and Operations. His efforts were recognized when Zeltiq was acquired by Allergan in 2017, and he received the CEO Award for Excellence.
Marc continued his career at Revance Therapeutics, where he played a key role in the company’s transition from clinical to commercial operations. As Senior Vice President of Finance, he led the company’s financial strategies and operational growth. In late 2023, he was appointed Deputy to the CFO, where he helped navigate strategic partnerships and economic negotiations. He currently serves as Senior Vice President of Finance, leading Revance through a significant merger with Crown Laboratories.
Outside of work, Marc is an avid sports fan and a lifelong supporter of Boston’s teams. He is also passionate about charitable causes, including the ASPCA and The Gratitude Network, which aims to support disadvantaged children worldwide.
