Before graduating in 2017 with a bachelor’s degree in Literature/Writing, he served as the news editor for University of California, San Diego’s student newspaper, The Guardian, and published a short story and poem in the literary journals Common Ground and The Collective Voice.
Prior to joining HubPages, Matt embarked on a two month trip through Italy, Slovenia, Hungary, Austria, Poland, Czechia, Germany, Holland, Belgium, France and Spain (in that order). His favorite authors are Hemingway, Salinger, and Faulkner.
