Joined 14 years ago from United Kingdom
Having lived in the beautiful countryside of South Western France for nine years, I have now moved back to the United Kingdom. My first language is English but I speak (and read and write) reasonable french.
I went back to study, part-time, in my late thirties, and accumulated a G.C.E Ordinary level, a GCSE, three GCE Advanced levels and a Bachelor's degree with Honours.
I have a passion and fascination with words and language, am an avid reader and have written, both poetry and prose, for as long as I can remember. I am also interested in history, cookery, travel, law and antiques.
I have sold articles to magazines.

Children in the 1960's played happily outside. Their simple games and rhymes made Britain's streets live. Children were never still and obesity was rare, but children's healthy active lifestyle and playing outside gave them much more.
