Like the picture says; “Who The Hell is Merlin Fraser ?”
Who indeed, Independent author of the INNER SPACE trilogy of Murder Mystery novels, Worldwide wanderer, amateur British historian, Humorist and Gentleman.
Scottish by birth and nationality but my parents chose to live in England where the rain tends to be warmer.
We moved to a tiny village high in the Cotswold Hills of Gloucestershire and for a young street smart city kid suddenly dumped seven miles from the nearest anything it was hate at first sight and I couldn’t speak the language !
As a consequence it is possible that I may be able to claim that I alone was the inventor of culture shock, although, we did inherit a bathroom and inside toilet as part of the deal.
Like so many before me I ran as far away from the rural ideal as my young legs could carry me off to see the world and seek my fortune. Well I certainly achieved the former and by modest standards I suppose I was more or less mildly successful in the latter at least for a while.
Of course I have long since reversed my opinion of city life versus life in the countryside and since stopping my worldwide wanderings and getting a divorce, which are not necessarily connected but may be, I am now back living in the heart of the Cotswold Hills starting what amounts to be my third career.
I love writing and have started on my forth novel, another Murder Mystery with similar supernatural paranormal overtones with mild references to the previous stories but this time there is an added political slant to it.
As you can see from my Hubs I have many interests and many things both intrigue and fascinate me and I enjoy writing about them.
As a freelance writer I also take on commissions for things that fascinate other people, such as my recently completed ‘Historical Walk around the Cotswold Wool town of Tetbury.’ This is soon to be followed by one about the Old Coaching Inns of the same town detailing the glory days of the English Stage Coach era.
