I came from a family that didn't have a lot of money, never heard from our father, and grew up on our own. Decided that living a life that didn't fulfill my desires, was not the way I wanted to live.
Joined the US Army in 1982, attended college from 1985 - 1991, Bachelor of Science in Finance. While in college, an airplane flew over the campus. Since I was already a private pilot, went to the business office and borrowed as much money as possible to pay for flight training.
Achieved Commercial pilot status in 1989, certified flight instructor certificate in 1991. Flew as an instructor for two years, overnight freight for one year and logged close to 1,000 hours, flew charter and corporate flying. Total flight time to date is in excess of 10,000 hours. Of course there are a lot of airplane stories of close calls, and then thousands upon thousands of hours of boredom followed by twenty seconds of shear panic!
Favorite airplane - Dassault-Breguet Falcon 10...gross weight take-off would climb right to 37,000 feet and cruise Mach .81 all day every day! My other favorite is the Beechcraft King Air B200 Super King air series. Unbelievable airplane for room, comfort, flexibility, and pure performance. It is no wonder this is still the market leader in turboprop driven airplanes!
After many years of flying and selling airplanes, I was given an opportunity to work in the Internet marketing and sales division of a large automotive group. Transitioned to the software development side, which entails software design for sales managers. In the automotive world, aged inventory costs you money, and you need to price the vehicle in a competitive market to get interest. It is how you run a successful dealership Vs. a dealership that doesn't make a whole lot of money.
On the side, I enjoy motorcycle riding, and have owned 41 different motorcycles...these motorcycles were titled in MY name! Why motorcycles? We were so poor growing up, I had to bicycle everywhere! I rode my first mini-bike and knew this is what it is all about.
I tell my friends that you never have seen a motorcycle parked outside of a psychologist office, and it's true! Once, after I lost my house to foreclosure, lost my job, and then lost my girlfriend at about the same time, it was a motorcycle that I purchased with money that I didn't have, that put everything back into perspective. I would spend my days off going out on the less traveled highways, and just ride the bike and think about how good life really was!
I enjoy politics as a hobby, as I am a free market capitalist who understands freedom, equality, and prosperity can only be achieved in a capital market. Socialism has a 100% chance of failure, as this has been proven over time. This isn't an opinion, it is a statement of fact and can be proven.
