I am Miss Capri.

A Christian, a musician, a chain-breaker, a pet owner who does not call my pets my "kids" in any way, shape or form, nor am I "owned by" or "slave to" them. I am no left-winger by any stretch, neither am I a far-right-wing person.

Because I am a Christian, I don't feel at home on most sites that debunk chain letters because their discussions always seem to be mostly non-Christians railing about chain letters and using the bogus religious ones as an excuse to ridicule people who believe in God.

I do not belong on most Christian forums I've come across, because they embrace chain forwards, and the one I found that debunked them was a Catholic forum. I'm not Catholic. The other problem with Christian forums is the instances of anti-abortion activism, and most consist of people inserting religion into conversation to the point where it seems disruptive of the natural flow of conversation and stilted to me. I am also not a praying bot, and cannot pray insincerely for everybody who gets a prayer request sent down the cyber wire. I do not feel the need to show off my Christianity, I am horrible at memorizing scripture unless it is set to music, and feel a bit intimidated by people who use every opportunity to toss scripture around like they are experts on it, and I also do not care to be preached at, condescended to or talked down to. If I feel like blasting some anti-Christian idiot for being unkind, don't go scolding me about it, you should be scolding the dweeb who hates Christians enough to spew in the first place.

I do not belong on pet related forums because they are crawling with animal welfare/rights activism, including the trendy language calling pets "furkids" and all that stuff. I completely reject that whole mentality about people being "parents" or "slaves" to their animals. No one wants to listen to me when I tell them why thinking of their animals as little people in fur coats is doing nothing but harm for pet owners' rights. I reject any and all animal welfare language including inserting the word "responsible" in front of "pet owner/breeder" as if it's somehow necessary to do so because pet owners and breeders are somehow "irresponsible" by default. Bull crap. I do not "adopt" animals, I buy or get them for free, and I do not "rescue" which always slams the previous owner.

I do not belong on a lot of anti-animal rights forums because of the irritating debates, and some are full of both animal rights and anti-abortion activism which is as malicious toward people who've had abortions as animal rights is to animal owners etc. Some also accept anti-Obama chain letters, and while I do not support Obama because he is a democrat, which is too much into the eco/animal activism, neither will I support both right and far-right chain letter activity, about Obama or anything else, because chain letters are crap and a surefire way of making oneself look silly when they pass along some scary or angry political rant that has been soundly debunked on a hoax-busting site.

I have no idea why Opensalon.com nixed my first account so I got another one. Was it my article on why chain letters are so bad? Or the one on captchas as discrimination rather than security? Or maybe they just didn't like me putting up links to my blogs and Youtube. Huh? I thought they wanted people to express themselves and put up links of where else they can be found on the net.

I've left chat lists because too many people ruined them with forwards and repeated "Happy birthday So-and-so!" when I haven't the foggiest idea who that person is, and that gets seriously annoying when that's what makes up a huge chunk of the content. No kidding. I've been on lists where some member had a birthday and the emails just poured in about it for several days, only for another member to have a birthday after the first one's hubbub dies down, and it starts all over again. *Sigh* Enough already! Please people, use private email for that, okay?

I've left chat rooms because too many people who started out as friends, all having great times in one big chat room, got into boring flirting, stupid flirting if they really are married to other people offline, and then they break up and left me caught in the middle because one or the other couldn't be in the same chat room while the other moans on in a different room about their broken heart, and then what was once great fun has been ruined forever.

I like writing fiction, especially collaboratively, but dislike vampire characters, or at least, vamps that are too powerful, invincible, godlike villains just aren't cool, neither are they sexy. Vampires suck human blood, and that's a big YUCK-O in my book, I don't care to get into the "Poor me, I'm so sad because I'm a vamp and no one understands me, I'm really a good guy even though I drink human blood" character crap. For that matter, most fantasy writing rpgs have limits I don't like or else they're just too weird for my taste, or too stereotypical.

Fanfiction - I used to think it was a great idea, until reading some of what passes for fanfiction out there. Pairings pairings pairings⦠Mary Sue. Fans living out their crushes on their favourite anime or Twilight/Potter whatever characters via their own made-up characters, (Mary Sue) or pairing off characters that were not in the series. Bleckity-bleck bleck!

Yeah, I realize that probably makes me sound impossible to please.

But what the heck. Once I feel truly understood and like I'm not expected to jump on someone else's bandwagon part of the time just to keep the peace and remain an accepted member of some community, you'd be surprised how many smiles you'd get from me.

So, what do I want?

Not a lot, really.

Just:

Pet related lists where no one is in danger of being judged as a bad pet owner, and wild tales of animal abuse are not allowed to ruin innocent people, where pet owners and breeders are not "rescues" or "sanctuaries" or others who support in any way the efforts of any animal welfare activism, and people do not talk about their pets as if they were their kids, or some kind of rainbow angels forever after they die.

Christian communities that don't touch the subject of abortion at all, and break instead of spread chain forwards, no matter how touching/amazing/profound/cute/funny/too-true the content may seem.

Hoax/chain debunking communities that don't bash God and Christians, better still, have at least one Christian admin.

Chat lists where people don't flirt, pair off with people privately so the list never hears from them again, where it isn't all endless "Happy birthday!" and "Please pray for So-and-so!", where Christians don't take a casual and fun conversation and try to sermonize or turn it into a Bible study, Christian communities where you're not criticized for showing some real raw emotion once in a while, including when you just need to yell "Gah, those stupid trolls!" when someone has ticked you off on some other site. communities where you get a heckload more respect than any bullying flamer who tries to harass you via private email. And where people don't send forwards unless it's to sound off about and smash them to pieces - without bashing Christianity or God.

Conservatives who don't buy into any birther or other proven-to-be-false or inflammatory chain email and who do not lable you as a "rhino" for smashing chain forwards and rejecting birtherism, anti-immigrationism, anti-abortionism.

A community not run by people with environmental/animal welfare activism sympathies, anti-Bush, anti-Reagan 'truther' *cough* or other leftist ideologies, or birther/anti-abortion/anti-immigration sympathies.

A community where the admins and hoax and political myth debunkers are not always/mostly non-Christian/liberal, and where no one is racist, including playing the blasted race card!
