I am a 33 year old Muslim revert, wife and mother of two. I have always loved cooking and to writing, so I figured, why not combine the two? After several years of testing (and eating!) recipes for my cookbook I reverted to Islam and found that I couldn't use many of my recipes anymore! But after I while I found that adopting a halal diet didn't limit my food options at all--rather, it opened up a whole new world of tasty and creative culinary adventures! Now I enjoy exploring different cuisines and taking all of those old, totally-not-halal-recipes and giving them halal makeovers.
