Mike Mennonno is a freelance writer living in Somerville, MA. His work has appeared in Genre and Scene (Budapest's City Magazine), and has been anthologized by Alyson Press. His blogs on multiple topics are referenced regularly in The Boston Globe and The Boston Herald, and he has been interviewed on the topic of new media by Boston Magazine, The New York Times, and National Public Radio’s Morning Edition.

From 2005 through 2006 he had a popular weekly op-ed column in the Boston and New York daily Metro.

He is a Master Urban Gardener with an award-winning plot in the Fenway Victory Gardens. He is an avid cyclist. He is committed to bringing people together to promote social change. Some of his organizing efforts include working on behalf of vulnerable communities served by the MBTA. He has written extensively on homelessness, and the Housing First solution now being implemented in Boston.
