Mud Engineer

Joined 6 years ago from Texas

Thanks for taking the time to read my profile. My name is James and I recently retired from the oil and gas industry. When in the field, I worked as a Mud Engineer servicing drilling rigs all over the United States. Since I spent a number of years out on the rigs, I have learned a lot about the drilling process and what it takes to develop oil and gas wells. Now that I am retired, I want to share my knowledge and get back to developing my writing skills.

A long time ago I used to work as a copywriter. In fact, writing ad copy was something that I really enjoyed. So, in order to keep myself busy during my retirement, I was thinking about taking on a few copy writing projects. To demonstrate what I can do, I am starting a series of HubPages about occupations out in the drilling industry. My plan is to write a couple of articles about each field occupation so that I can hone my skills and attract some part time projects. Stay tuned for my latest article on one of the many Oil Rig Jobs.

P.S. If you would like, you can check out some of my latest postings by visiting the account that I created for oil rig jobs here.
