Since I was a child, I have loved nature and the outdoors. We currently maintain a 9 acre private wildlife preserve and belong to the Folsom Native Plant Society and are LA Master Gardeners. We have 6 rescued pets (1 dog and 4 cats) as well as a cockatiel (that we hand raised over 25 years ago) and 8 Ameraucana hens.

I am enjoying my newest venture as a writer for Louisiana Gardener Magazine. I was a school librarian and teacher for over 25 years. Some of my interests include writing, nature photography, painting, needlework, many crafts, gardening and cooking.
