Nolapete is a New Orleans native and Hurricane Katrina survivor. He rode out the storm in his Terrytown home and was stranded for four days without electricity in the aftermath. As an avid aquarist, Pete enjoys DIY projects and breeding various species of fish, particularly cichlids, most. His other interests include gardening, competition sport kites and kiteboarding, fishing, home improvement, and bicycling.
