This fella is now a published author who failed at English in school and many other things until realising you only fail when you actually stop trying at anything
a dispossessed Welshman who has ridden from Le havre to Faro,Portugal twice- Three times this year(once with no money, food from bins and no shelter on a bike from the scrap) I learnt some of the true visceral pleasures of life on those trips.
Iv'e had over 30 yrs of jobs and businesses which funded adrenalin based pastimes. I ended up in lots of trouble physically and metephorically many times. Love it! Too many broken bones tho...
Ive been a truck mechanic for over thirty years. I had my own lorries for a few years but missed the time i previously used for moto-x, hare and hounds racing and paragliding. I also scavenged for stuff using scuba gear all for over 20 years. Although those pastimes are gone the outdoor memories are with you forever. I would like to think someone may be inspired to do some things they think may be out of their comfort zone. memories are priceless. And writing about them gives me the highs without some of the pain.
Does still flyin' a 21 yr old airwave black magic paraglider of coastal cliffs count as adrenalin because i've yet to meet anyone else who still flies these old things-well sink these things?
ive just left the truck industry and with the spare time i have done two lone 3500km cycle journeys and had a book published. I realise that i dont need to do 170mph on a motorcycle to feel alive or to impress folk with what i own,Im just glad to feel the mud under my wheels.Or the freedom of a huge sky from a pushbike. Thats where i see the beauty of what we get from life for free-and we mostly all have taken it for granted.
If you have done or used anything similar to the things on these hubs id be glad to hear.
