My name is Edith Rose. I just started quilting 2 years ago, mostly self taught along with tutorials from the Internet. My favorite quilt blocks are blocks that produce an illusion when finished, such as attic windows and tumbling blocks. and the card trick block. When I look at a quilt block I like, I try to find an easier way to make it, as some of them took as if they are hard to make, and a lot of the time, there are not that hard.

I just also became interested in photograpy a couple of years ago. You can tell that I love quilting by the background page I chose. Just look at all those half-square triangles.

The only TV series I watch is"Once Upon A Time" and I become obsessed with it. I also enjoy going to the theatre to see shakespeare plays and comedies, and some drama plays.

Now that I am retired, I have more time for cooking. Most of my cooking is done from other people's recipes, but I do have a few of my own that I have made over the years that are really delicious.

Attic Windows Quilt Block Without Y Seams

Most tutorials for this block require making y-seams, but that takes time, and if not done properly, time and fabric will be wasted. This tutorial will give you results you will be happy with.

I have made this quilt block using my own methods of seam allowances, and in doing so, I have distinctive points on the Maple Leaf.
