Also follow me on:

I am a 38-years-old native Greek speaker, single-mother of one, and diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis in 2006. I am a very creative and artistic person, and have dabbled in just about everything artistic, from painting and photography to cooking and crotchet, trying to find my calling, which I concluded is writing.

I have lived in the UK and Denmark for several years, and my son was born in the UK.

I have a Bachelors Degree in Art and Psychology from the American College of Greece-Deree, as well as professional knowledge of the English language (Cambridge Proficiency Degree).

I have worked as a translator from and to Greek and English (literature and semi-scientific works), as a columnist in periodicals and magazines, and as an English language teacher (state accredited).

As a blogger, I own a dual-language blog of a personal nature, and I have done volunteer translation, editing and proof-reading work for Global Voices GR.

I am also a gamer of 15+ years, with experience in the majority of MMOs, and offline gaming on pc and consoles. I've done extensive AD&D, D&D, WoD, CoC and other pen-and-paper RPG story-telling, story and storyboard writing. Unfortunately, raising a child alone doesn't allow for pen-and-pager gaming, so I have been out of touch with that part of the hobby since my son came in my life. More's the pity.

During this period, I am co-translating the indie horror game "Last Door" from English to Greek. I am also currently writing an illustrated children's book, a small anthology of women’s horror stories and a historical semi-academic book about certain aspects of ancient Greek living.

I am very passionate about the Horror genre (Poe, Lovecraft) and Science Fiction, which has been a life-long love for me, and my biggest hope for the future is that one day humanity will achieve Gene Rodenberry's United Earth Federation status. And that my son will be the first captain of the Enterprise, but hey, a mom is allowed to dream on ;)

My favourite authors include H.P. Lovecraft, E.A. Poe, T. Pratchett, D. Brin, J.R.R. Tolkien, M. Moorcock, A. Clark, S. King, R. Bradbury, U. LeGuin and others.

Regarding my Hubpages, I love to cook and I love to write, so I decided to share some of the more anecdotal recipes with you, those which have a little bit of history and a little bit of storytelling accompanying them.

I hope you like them, and thank you for taking the time to visit my Hubpages! ~ )O( ~
