Could it be that there is an enormous difference between the Christian RELIGION and the Christian FAITH?

I am now 76 and have in a sense been outside the walls of 'traditional' Christianity for some 40 years. I was questioning the meaning and significance of the Christian faith from an early age but I have no recollection of ever doubting the existence of 'God'.

It was in 1995/6 that I was challenged for the second time (as a member of The Worldwide Church of God) to reconsider just about everything I had ever been taught - and that's a very long story!

A few years later a very close friend of mine said, "Peter, you have the knack of asking the awkward questions to which there are no easy answers".

I now have a faith that I don't have to defend. I know that I don't know all the answers, and more importantly I know that I don't have to know - individually we are only seeing a small part of the overall picture.

I have recently finished putting together some of those awkward questions that I have been considering over the years, on my blog, in such a way that they might encourage people who are perhaps being drawn away from 'traditional' Christianity - including agnostics and even possibly a few atheists - to go on THINKING FOR THEMSELVES and maybe sharing some of their thoughts.
