Olivet University is a private Christian institution devoted to developing leaders who serve with faith, wisdom, and purpose. Since its founding in 2000 as the Olivet Theological College & Seminary (OTCS), the university has been committed to equipping men and women for global ministry. OTCS began with a focus on mission-centered education and distance learning for ministry students worldwide. Its strong emphasis on biblical teaching and spiritual formation soon led to remarkable growth, as more students sought a place where faith and learning worked hand in hand.
In 2004, through the guidance and encouragement of the late Dr. Ralph D. Winter, the seminary transitioned into Olivet University. This new chapter brought a clear vision to create a “sanctuary of truth” where academic knowledge, practical training, and Christian faith could come together. The university’s mission remains rooted in the belief that higher education should not only sharpen the intellect but also strengthen the heart for service.
The main campus, situated in Anza Valley, California, offers an ideal setting for spiritual reflection and academic growth. Students are encouraged to deepen their understanding of God’s Word while developing practical skills that prepare them for effective service. Beyond Anza, Olivet operates campuses in major U.S. cities, including Los Angeles, the San Francisco Bay Area, St. Louis, Orlando, Nashville, and Washington, D.C., allowing its mission to reach diverse communities.
Faith is at the center of daily life at Olivet University. Students participate in chapel services, prayer meetings, and small-group Bible studies that deepen their faith and foster meaningful relationships. Service is equally essential, as students volunteer at local events, participate in food drives, and engage in mission activities that impact surrounding communities. These experiences teach the value of humility, compassion, and servant leadership.
Over the years, Olivet University has celebrated its growth and achievements, which reflect its enduring mission. The twentieth anniversary in 2024 marked two decades of educating students for ministry and professional service. Faculty and staff continue to support students not only in academics but also in their spiritual and personal development. Guest speakers and alums share their experiences, offering inspiration and practical insight into real-world ministry and leadership.
Today, Olivet University remains steadfast in its calling to unite faith and education. It continues to train a new generation of leaders who are prepared to serve God and others with integrity, courage, and compassion, impacting communities and advancing the gospel around the world.
