My name is Will and I am a 47 year old artist. Since as early as I can remember, I have been creating some type of art. First it was drawings, paintings and sculptures and during my elementary days I attended the Civic Art Center and studied art under the direction of the county art director, Max Misner. By junior high school, I started studying music and composing. My instrument of choice was guitar and then piano. Just before my senior year, I started teaching guitar and piano and playing in a band with a few of my neighborhood friends. After graduating from Battle Creek Central High School in 1986, I went on a two year tour with my band and performed live shows all over the USA. We composed and recorded an album together at Hit City Studios in Indianapolis, Indiana that was published in 1987 and sold while we toured through a fan club and at live shows.
In 1990 the band departed and I went to work in manufacturing and started attending Kellogg Community College in the Emergency Medical Services Program / Applied Science, to become a licensed Paramedic. For nine years I worked in EMS and Fire Services as a Paramedic / FireFighter and teaching in the program at KCC. I left my medical career in late 1999 and started my own business in early 2000.
The business was originally a furniture repair and restoration business that started in my three car garage and within less than two years I was moving the business into a 5,000 square foot building and setting up machinery to mass produce custom architectural millwork. I was machining ornamental stair systems, mouldings and cabinetry with the added flare of heavy hand carvings. I continued to build the business and I'm very pleased to say that my final project in that shop was the intricate hand carved Mahogany Roman, Ionic capitals that make up the grand 40 foot diameter rotundum at the Steven Wynn Las Vegas Casino and Resort. My work was featured in the May 9, 2005 issue of TIME MAGAZINE.
From 2006 until now, I have devoted my studies to audio and video recording and editing. I built a studio and studied engineering with ProTools and ICON control with dedicated help from the Studio Team at Sweetwater in Fort Wayne, Indiana.
