Perry Greene is the President of Taylor Commercial, Inc., one of the largest siding contractors in the United States. His company serves the Southeastern region, handling major construction and renovation projects across key markets. Under his leadership, Taylor Commercial has completed over 25 renovations of low-income housing and condominium communities, growing its reach and reputation in the industry.
Perry Clarke Greene was born in Atlanta, Georgia, and spent his early years in Athens, where his father worked as a minister at the Church of Christ campus. His family moved frequently during his childhood, living in places such as Memphis, Escondido, California, Gainesville, Florida, and finally settling in Riverdale, Georgia, by the time he was in eighth grade. Despite the frequent moves, he remained focused on working hard and overcoming challenges. From an early age, he was determined to build a better future through effort and discipline.
By the age of nine, Greene was cutting lawns and collecting cans to earn money. At twelve, he helped his family deliver 500 newspapers every morning before school. At fifteen, he worked with a business leader to help open the first Chick-fil-A Dwarf House locations in Riverdale and Jonesboro. When disciplined, instead of traditional punishments, he was encouraged to read books about rental properties and sales strategies. These lessons helped shape his interest in business, sales, and personal growth.
In high school, Perry earned All-State and All-Region honors as a baseball player. He went on to study accounting for two years while playing baseball at Southern Union Junior College. When his plans for a professional baseball career changed, he shifted his focus to attending the University of Georgia. To support this goal, he joined the Navy Reserve, which took him to Hawaii and Thailand. He later earned a scholarship to Harding University before transferring to the University of Georgia, where he graduated in 1996 with a degree in Accounting. That same year, he passed the CPA exam and began working at Ernst & Young.
In 1998, Perry joined a family-owned construction business and became general manager within six months. By 1999, he moved to Taylor Commercial, Inc., where he led the company’s growth from $600,000 to over $45 million in annual revenue. The company expanded into ten states and completed numerous siding projects and housing renovations.
Taylor Commercial received awards, including the 1993 Heartland Commercial Contractor of the Year and multiple honors from Norandex Reynolds. The company appeared on the Inc. 5000 list in 2013. Beyond his business endeavors, he contributed to the community by donating materials for a Vietnam War memorial and supporting local events. Perry Greene raised three children who followed their own educational and athletic paths. He endorsed a congressional campaign and continues to co-parent after his divorce in 2022. Today, Perry focuses on personal goals, mentoring, writing a book for homeowners, supporting community causes, and enjoying time with his children and partner.
