Quietus

I have been doodling and drawing cartoons and caricatures since longer than I can remember. I don't really do "cutesy" caricatures. It has gotten me into more trouble than it has gotten me out of! I was also a tattoo artist off and on over the years, the staff cartoonist for a newspaper and a magazine in the Chicago area, and I do a lot of logos, ads, t-shirts, flyers, greeting card and business card designs, portraits, knife makers' maker's marks, and other custom work. I was also the cartoonist for the Piedmont Area Mensa group and doing freelance work.

I have been designing web sites since 1994. Back then you had to learn HTML (Hyper Text Mark-up Language) and do a lot of creative borrowing! The tools have come a long way, but so have customers' expectations. I try to find not just what is current or flashy, but what is useful to you the customer! I specialize in what I like to call on-line, point-of-contact business cards. A place on-line to make your presence known and to pass on basic information.

I am married to the Lovely Marecho, and the father of one precious young lady, Raeny, who is my heart. I also share my home in Upstate, South Carolina with my dog, Crazyhead Murphy the Eunuch, a Doodleman Pinscher and Mollie the Weasel. We recently lost Fat Dazey, a terrier-mix, to age and sickness. Heartbreaking.

I am an avid reader, enjoy writing, movies, Improv, and playing volleyball, pool, darts, and Hackey Sack. I like Improv, acting, photography, Internet Marketing, and doing research in the time I have left over. I enjoy watching UFC/MMA/WEC too.

Additionally, I am an ex-cop, sailor, and soldier. I am also an ordained minister. I have lived in Michigan, Illinois, Oklahoma, California, Tennessee, Washington State, Arkansas, Virginia, South Carolina, and Venezuela.
