I was thirteen years old when my cousin pestered me into helping him write a song. It was my first attempt, and though I was reluctant at first, I found an unexpected satisfaction in the process of creating those juvenile lyrics. From that song, I went on to write many poems over the next few years, but I never really got serious about writing until I was thirty years old.
During the time of 1988 through 1989, I wrote two novels and managed to find a literary agent, Bertha Klausner. Bertha was the agent for the great Robert Paine, and Thomas Gaddis.
To eat and keep a roof over my head, I have worked as an electrical apprentice, licensed journeyman electrician, master electrician. I am a licensed state certified electrical contractor in Florida and Alabama. I also went to tech school for electronics, which has been a lifelong hobby of mine. I operated my own business for a few years repairing printed circuit boards, and worked as maintenance super for a big printing company. I now live in Florida with my wife Susan.
My hobbies include oil painting, designing and building electronic circuits, wildlife photography, snorkeling and underwater photography, archaeology, gardening and landscaping, planted aquariums, playing guitar, wood working, and writing.
