Rebecca Furtado had been writing articles on a diverse array of topics since 2007. She has an educational back ground in religion and counseling, which include a Master’s in Marriage and Family Therapy from Christian Theological Seminary in Indianapolis, Indiana.
Ms. Furtado was born in Ohio, but grew up in Indianapolis, in, but has lived in several different areas of the Midwest. This has given her a local perspective and appreciation to regional differences in an area of the country; that many people stereotype as bland. She is interested in the local history that is many times overshadowed by the history of more populated areas. Ms, Furtado has gained a unique perspective on Victorian life in America.
Currently, Ms. Furtado is employed in the health care field, and over the course of her schooling has recognized the need for people to understand testing and common diseases in simple English. She has tried to accomplish this by providing easy to understand articles on various health topics.
Pets play an important role in Ms. Fur ado’s life. She has fostered many dogs and cats in her home and like to share her knowledge of pet care and breed history.
Lastly, Ms. Furtado is a political junkie who does not feign from frank discussions of women’s reproductive rights, socialism, and the role of American religion in politics.
