Walking into my kitchen, you can expect to be greeted by the aromas of Gulf Coast cooking. From BBQ to Etouffee, you will enjoy fabulous recipes made with little effort and lots of heart. Learning to cook in Southwest Louisiana built my foundation of loving my kitchen and feeding people great food. Now, I share that foundation in my recipes, writing, and cooking classes. Rhonda Morrison is an award winning recipe author and performing chef with a national title for chili that she earned in the first ever Today Show Chili Cook-off on February 4th, 2011. Since her Today Show appearance, Rhonda has won four more recipe competitions for her desserts and side dishes. She is the Sunny Chef on Sunny 99.1. She also has a weekly internet cooking show on ShapeUpSugarLand.org. You can find her newspaper column titled “What’s on the Menu” in the Fort Bend Herald every Tuesday. She has been a Fort Bend County resident in Texas for over 18 years. She gives back to local schools and her community through cooking demonstrations and classes.

Rhonda and her recipes have been featured in the Fort Bend Herald, the Houston Chronicle, the Houston Rodeo newsletter, Sugar Land Magazine, Katy Magazine, Texas Women’s Business Journal, Pecan Grove Monthly, Fort Bend Focus, and on Channel 2 KPRC.
