As owner of Rich Media Design Productions, I am a graphic and web graphics designer/video producer that strives to consistently upgrade my skills in order to provide solutions for my clients' design problems—both online and offline (print media). I am committed to providing excellent creative solutions for my client’s graphic design, video production and web design needs (I want the repeat business of course from satisfied customers :-) ). I work out of my design studio located in Orange County, California--USA.
As for my design experience, I have a 20+year design career followed by 5 years of professional freelance. I have a bachelor’s degree from UCLA in Design and Media Arts with, a minor in Fine Arts. Yes, I do paint and draw but I make my living designing with Adobe CS5 Extended and my MAC. I haven’t made time for painting recently but if you would like to see some of my past commercial painting or other designs, checkout my design portfolio at bit.ly/aqcvhS or my blog.
In addition to graphic design, I am currenty a Design Consultant for Biotivia, LLC, a health supplement manufacturer in resveratrol and other health care products. I also was an independent fulltime graphic designer for Herbal Life.
As for video, I also enjoy video production . I delved into the video market when I worked in the video production field for the TCI Cable San Gabriel Company several years ago, and other design and video projects for the Los Angeles Unified School District. Since then I have maintained my skill set in this field by attending training in AutoDesk's Maya learning 3D modeling and animation. With the advent of new video production and editing technologies and the plummeting prices of consumer grade video and professional equipment, I have found myself consulting with various businesses from startups to corporations on graphic design and video marketing. I have worked as an Art Director and am able to provide advice and direction to my corporate clients.
When I am not working on design, I spend time playing my guitar with my former band buddies or talking and watching football, namely the St. Louis Rams, with my two grown sons. I enjoy traveling and have been to Turkey, Spain, Italy and Greece. I am also an avid history buff and enjoy collecting vintage items with some of my prized possessions being a black 1967 Camaro which I restored, a 1950s jukebox, a small piece of the Berlin Wall, vintage cameras and a John Juzek violin given to me by my great- uncle.
Writing is a challenge for me akin to pulling teeth. I have to work much harder than most to craft what I say, usually going through several edits (it does not come easy)-- graphic design, motion graphics, color palettes are more my thing, as Georgia O’Keefe once said, “I found I could say things with color and shapes that I couldn't say any other way--things I had no words for”.
If you have read this far, thanks for stopping by! Check me out on the other areas of the web that I hang out located on my profile. [Shameless plug] I also have a Youtube Channel called Rich Media Design TV. Look me up for Photoshop design tutorials that I have posted on my channel.
