This is a basic guide to synthesizing potassium ferrioxalate for home chemists, using easily sourced/made materials. There are other (more reliable) methods out there that use catalysts like barium sulfate, but this method just uses rust, oxalic acid, and potassium carbonate.
I tried to grow twelve chemical crystals as senior gifts. Ended with a 66% success rate (for now).
