I am a mother of two amazing and amusing kiddos and was blessed to marry exactly the man I prayed for (should I say Divine orchestration as I always believed) whose passion for writing perfectly matches mine.
Accountant by profession and writing is my passion.
Started writing poems at age 16, but I never got a chance to hone my writing skills since I took up Accountancy, far-fetched from the career path I dreamt of. I have no regrets, though, because with my current profession, along the way, I have gathered so much insights and avalanche of ideas which can be amazing inputs as I continue to wrestle with my writing journey. And there is one thing I have greatly discovered, as I trudge life’s highways and byways, “My passion for writing always haunts me until it finds rest by pursuing it”. And so every time I get the inspiration to write anything under the sun, not a second is wasted and I always strike while the iron is hot. Eventhough I have no formal schooling in literature, but every lyric crafted in my work is definitely filled with intense emotion, love and passion.
In 2000, I tried joining poetry contest launched by the International Library of Poetry. Likewise, I also tried my luck in the Silliman University Summer Writers Workshop only to find out that the applicants are the “pro” in literature. But I never ever stop chasing my dream.
I just write and write and write. I was like a river, drifting unperturbed, glitches and hitches along the way are undermined, until it finally reached the bottom of the sparkling deep blue sea. To date, I am in the process of crafting my first poetry collection and hopefully come up with an e book before 2017 ends.
If there’s one of the three things I want to do before I’ll meet my Creator? It must be writing a book. And longing to hear the words, “Job well done, good and faithful servant.”
