Why I Became Interested In Juicing For Health
I am a freelance writer from sunny South Africa's breathtaking Western Cape. At the moment I have the privilege of enjoying an amazing sea view, while watching whales at play.
My main web site focuses on juicing for weight loss and health. I became interested in the benefits of vegetable juicing when I developed Myalgic Encephalomyelitis or ME many years ago. I have been more or less housebound as a result of this challenge for more than 33 years.
Juicing has become a major part of my daily nutrition plan. It is one of the easiest ways to ensure an adequate intake of fresh produce, especially if one doesn't feel like eating a heavy meal. With a top notch juicer as a health buddy, it is quick and easy to work into the daily routine. Even kids love the colorful juices.
In the process I have also been doing tons of research about healthy nutrition. If there is one thing I truly detest, it is a fad diet. I have never been on a diet to lose weight. It simply isn't necessary to starve our bodies to get to our ideal weight. There are healthy ways to cut down on calories or to burn more calories through extra activity, without diets and heavy-duty workouts. All it takes is a bit of common sense. My aim is to help my juicing friends to find their own sensible route to a new healthstyle.
In addition to writing about juicing for health and weight loss, I also enjoy sharing information about healthy family nutrition in general and weight loss without dieting.
Of course, it is tough to deal with a debilitating illness on a daily basis. However, I have learned to value the truly important things in life along the way. These include:
1. My strong faith in a loving Heavenly Father
2. My caring family and friends
3. The wonderful gift of a sense of humor
4. The importance of taking good care of myself even on the most difficult days
5. Maintaining a positive mind set
It is great to be able to make use of the internet and connect with people from all over the world, in spite of so many physical limitations!
