Hi! My name is Patty. I've been an anime fan for over 17 years and have seen hundreds of anime. Some of my favorites are Perfect Blue, Akira, Millennium Actress, Ninja Scroll, Samurai X: Reflection, Battle Angel Gally and Angel Sanctuary, just to name a few. I am also very into Japanese culture and can speak a little Japanese from taking it for two years in college.
I love to read books and just recently finished all 1,140 pages of William Shirer's Rise & Fall of the Third Reich. Some of my fave books are Battle Royale by Koushun Takami, Crime & Punishment by Fyodor Dostoevsky, Do Androids Dream of Electric Sheep by Phillip K. Dick, The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy by William Douglas, The Moon is a Harsh Mistress by Robert A. Heinlein, Dance Dance Dance by Haruki Murakami and 1984 by George Orwell. I do a bit of creative writing (horror, fantasy mixed with sci-fi) and thus far have several unfinished stories. I'm currently toying with a story that expounds on Vernor Vinge's idea of technology developing at such a fantastic pace that eventually the curve becomes asymptotic and humanity ceases to exist. We'll see where it goes.
This hub will contain essays, analyses, opinions and reviews from anime I have seen in the past and that I am currently watching on Netflix. Ja ne!
