Sarah Warren is an accomplished entrepreneur currently based in Tallahassee, Florida, drawing on more than ten years of experience in law. Before transitioning to independent business ventures, she built a successful legal career specializing in public finance and advising local governments on complex financial matters. Her legal practice focused heavily on bond financing transactions and providing counsel for various special taxing districts. Her reputation was built on her ability to offer practical legal solutions combined with sharp business acumen, making her a trusted advisor to clients navigating the intricacies of public finance. Now working alongside her husband, Gabe, she applies the strategic insights she developed during her legal career to entrepreneurial pursuits, further broadening her impact.
Born and raised in the scenic town of Aspen, Colorado, Sarah's early years were marked by both academic achievement and leadership roles. She attended Aspen High School, where she excelled academically and was a member of the National Honor Society. Her dedication to learning and leadership set the tone for her future endeavors. After graduating in 2002, she pursued higher education at Rollins College in Orlando, Florida. There, she earned a Bachelor of Arts in English with a minor in Communications, graduating cum laude in 2006. In addition to excelling in her studies, she became actively involved in the Kappa Kappa Gamma sorority, where she served in several leadership roles, including president. This period of personal and professional development helped her build essential skills that would later serve her well in her legal and business careers.
Warren continued her education at Vanderbilt University Law School in Nashville, Tennessee, where she pursued a Juris Doctor, graduating in May 2010. Her time at Vanderbilt was instrumental in shaping her career in public finance law. She served as an Associate Editor for the university's Environmental Journal, where she honed her research and writing skills. She also participated in the International Law Practice Clinic, gaining hands-on experience that deepened her understanding of complex legal frameworks and prepared her for a career focused on public policy and financial advising. This rigorous training laid the foundation for the career she would later build in public finance and legal advisory services.
After completing her law degree, Sarah Warren took a position at American Express in 2011, focusing on corporate account business development. She quickly distinguished herself as a top performer, receiving high rankings both as a rookie and as a seasoned business development manager. Her experience in corporate business development sharpened her client management and negotiation skills, providing her with valuable experience outside of the legal field. However, her passion for law eventually led her to return to the legal profession, where she would build a successful career advising local governments and special districts.
In 2013, Warren joined the Florida Department of Economic Opportunity's Office of the General Counsel. In this role, she worked primarily on community planning and strategic business development, gaining insight into the inner workings of government agencies and regulatory policies. This experience proved pivotal, as it allowed her to develop the expertise that would later make her a recognized authority in public finance and special district law. Her familiarity with government policies and procedures provided her with a solid foundation for advising clients on complex public infrastructure projects and bond financing transactions.
By 2014, Sarah had joined Hopping Green & Sams, P.A., where she became a shareholder in the firm and worked within the Special District practice group. Her practice focused on representing community development districts, real estate developers, and other special taxing districts throughout Florida. Her work involved advising clients on public infrastructure projects, including roadways, utilities, and stormwater management systems. As Issuer's Counsel for many of these districts, she played a crucial role in securing financing to support residential and mixed-use development projects. Her ability to navigate the complexities of public finance law made her an essential partner to her clients, who relied on her expertise to guide large-scale infrastructure initiatives to completion.
In January 2022, Warren took on a new challenge by joining Bryant Miller Olive P.A., a law firm with a focus on public finance law. At BMO, she continued to work with local governments, advising on bond financing transactions and collaborating with professionals across industries to achieve successful outcomes for her clients. Her role required close coordination with financial advisors, underwriters, and other industry leaders, ensuring that each transaction was structured to meet the needs of both public and private stakeholders. Her work at BMO further solidified her reputation as a knowledgeable and effective public finance attorney, capable of managing the complexities involved in multi-million-dollar infrastructure projects.
Though Sarah Warren no longer practices law, she remains deeply engaged in entrepreneurial ventures. Working with her husband, Gabe, she now leverages the skills and knowledge she developed during her legal career to pursue new business opportunities. Her ability to combine legal precision with business strategy allows her to approach entrepreneurship with a unique perspective, creating value in innovative ways. Her journey from law to entrepreneurship reflects a commitment to lifelong learning and adaptability as she continues to build on the foundation she established in her legal career. With each new venture, she applies the same dedication and strategic thinking that defined her success in law, positioning her for continued growth in the business world.
