I have a PhD in Molecular Biology. My research interests include DNA repair (how cells repair broken DNA which occur naturally or due to environmental factors) and gene expression (how the cell turns on and off genes). I do my experiments on baker's yeast (Latin name, which shares remarkable genetic similarities with humans. Scary, isn't it?
In my free time, I run an informational website on chihuahua training and health tips. I have three chihuahuas of my own and have been in chihuahua rescue for 10 years. I've personally fostered and found homes for over 20 chihuahuas. I love the breed and have met many interesting dogs and people over the years.
I'm a runner training for her second half-marathon. I'm a city girl (Hong Kong -> New York -> Boston) who loves the outdoors. When I'm staying still, I knit socks, read memoirs and nonfiction, cook vegetarian meals, and/or do personality tests on the internet. Right now I'm an ENFJ.
