I have been a member of SGI UK for over 15 years now. SGI stands for Soka Gakkai International which in turn means 'value creation society'.
In a nutshell, we chant nam myoho renge kyo in order to reveal our Buddha nature which everyone has already but chanting reveals this, However, our buddha nature is not something 'serene and peaceful' necessarily but a state of life in which we use our wisdom, courage and compassion to change our lives and subsequently our environment and ultimately, the world.
It goes without saying, that these pages are NOT official SGI 'policy' necessarily and purely represent my own views as someone who has practised for some time.
My hubs will be a mixture of basic 'study' explaining certain aspects of the Buddhist practise but also perhaps some other interesting (well to me anyway) articles such as one I'm planning about class and buddhism.
