Creating a short bio never really does a person justice. How can I explain 43 years worth of my life in a few short sentences? Well, I can't.
Instead let me start by telling you some of the stuff I like and then you can decide to keep reading or not.
I like the following: pretty much all sports, billiards, scuba diving and football are my favorites. I watch television, but love the shows: Stargate (both versions), Star Trek (all versions), Burn Notice, Leverage, Heroes, Law & Order (all versions), CSI, NCIS, and just about any other crime series. I love to watch movies and this includes everything from action to drama, to romance. I like to read, and the books topics are way too varied to list.
I also like computers, games, dogs, cats, gummy fish, a good pizza, logging, blacksmithing, craft fairs, concerts, stuffed animals, fishing, archery, horses, friends, snow, beaches, swimming, tea, and a ton of other stuff.
I am a bit of an anomaly. I am tall, 6'4". I am a big guy, weighing in at nearly 300lbs.. I look both menacing to some because I have long hair and a goatee, but I am really a big softy because I am a man who can admit to crying during a sad movie or at a funeral.
I am a guy who does not fit into any basic mold. I am a geeky computer programmer by profession, I have a BSIT and I also studied electronics. I have a Ham radio license, KB1CXY, and love computers. But I also love gaming, riding my Harley, a '99 Fatboy Custom in blue and silver, and playing my guitar.
I have two loving German Shepherd dogs, Abie and Axel. They do not entirely like my cat, Patches, but they do live together, even if not peacefully. A few years ago, I lost my namesake dog, Shadow, who was a beautiful Alaskan Malamute. He was like a son to me and I will forever miss him dearly. (tears well up thinking about him).
I love animals of all kinds and have dedicated much of my life to helping people train their pets and doing my part to help fight animal abuse and dog illness symptoms into awareness in our society.
There is no subject I will not discuss or debate. I have written articles, books and papers on topics ranging from the social impacts of the information age, to game design, and of course pet related issues. I presently manage a network of 50+ websites in an attempt to continue my chosen career path of self-employment.
Well, that is the basic summary of who I am. If you want to get to know me better, then by all means, just ask me. As I stated, I will talk about anything.
