The scent of rain on dry earth... reminds of childhood.. reminds me of home.. reminds me of you.
This is a mythology inspired poem which is just a short part of a story that I was trying to write but I don't know if I could ever finish that (lol) so I figured maybe I could turn some of it into a poem. I am a huge fan of fantasy, mythology, folk lores and the like, so here's my very own myth. :)
It is really hard to find true friends, If you have found them, cherish them. Make your friendship grow. Don't build it out of lies, else it would just end up hurting either one of you.
It takes effort for a love to grow. Once it's there, cherish it. Don't ever let it go.
A house don't feel like home when it's empty
We can never bring back the past, we can only make the most of the present.
sometimes we have to confront the feelings that are troubling us. it takes time to find the courage to face what we have been trying to escape. but once we do, we'll no longer be haunted by it.
we are neither united nor divided by religion. we are just branded by it
this poem is about an old friend who just passed away last June 30, 2018. I remember him texting me at 3 am from years ago, he told me about his nightmares about the shadows. No one really knows why he ended his life. He's such a funny and cheerful person. Lots of people are going to miss him.
A poem for some one
Talks about the stereotypes of being a woman.
