71True confessions: I am a newbie to HubPages. Jack of many trades, master of none. How does one get really, really good at something? I have heard it said that if you practice something enough, expertise is not far behind. Recently, I retired early from managing my husband’s successful solo medical practice when he joined a group that had strict rules against nepotism. I am still mentally high-fiving the committee that voted on that rule! It has given me the opportunity to reinvent myself while still embracing youth, whether real or perceived. I love to write, I love to discover new places when I travel and I love to be with my family. My faith makes up a large part of who I am. Reading historical fiction, studying financial concepts and dabbling in the stock market are hobbies of mine as are the occasional home craft and cycling trip. The internet has been a boon for this curious do-it-yourselfer who likes to research for fun. I like exploring new ideas and making new friends. I live with my husband of 36 years, I have two adult children that I am thrilled to share life with and I have a grand-dog.
