60Hi' my name is Gay L. Gray, and I am originally from Virginia. My goals and aspirations are to live my life as an Inspirational Speaker and Author. In 2009 I finished my first book was submitted it to a couple of agencies, and yes got two unattractive offers. Both offers I didn't except. My goal Is to one day to become a paid writer.
So as of now, my work remains unpublished, most writers know that it's all about timing. Part of my goal as a Spiritual Writer and Speaker is to bring about spiritual development within the confines of the human soul. Believe it or not, I originally started out writing papers for college students and friends without knowing this was a gift. Teaching myself how to research grants, using self-help journals. Although my grammatical skills were not intact, I saw that I had a gift to communicate and inspire others.
Realizing I could write on just about anything once I did the research. It seemed every time I spoke on the phone with friends and associates they told me to hold on why they went to grab a pen. On my job between breaks when I did public speaking, I drew enormous crowds from every culture speaking on basic life topics. Leaving them with great inspirations and a desire to move forward, making me feel so fulfilled. My boss once said Gay you’re losing me money, get back to work. Finally a friend of mine brought Les Brown to my home as a surprise and I knew this very skill was going to one day shape my destiny.
After this surprise visit from Les Brown, I realized, even more, I had a gift and this was a deep passion that could change the viewpoint of many lives. My influence on others to do better had become the evidence of the gift. Seeing tremendous change among those that society deemed hopeless, especially among the young people brought great joy. I've always dealt with difficult topics that many feared to challenge; such as Politics, Racism, Religion, those issues that shape Social Views. Becoming known for making the dead speak out. My areas of research studies are Physics, Philosophy, Religion, Science, Classical Studies. All but my grammatic skills are intact seeing I am self-taught, something I see as a blessing.
Adding one incentive or ray of hope in the life of someone else is my greatest reward... I never set out to be a writer, of course, I would have been better prepared. Until my goal is accomplished, I have resulted to my second job instead of pursuing my dream; for monetary means of employment, I was a Residential Property Manager. Which has awarded me the opportunity to deal with people from all walks of life? As of 2012 I've been in pursuit of becoming a full-time writer. This is my Destiny!
