The Word of God speaks to us today.It is powerful. In Jeremiah 1:5-6 the Lord announces:

Before I formed thee in the belly I knew thee and before thou camest forth out of the womb, I sanctified thee,and I ordained thee a prophet unto the nations. Then said I,Ah,Lord God!behold,I cannot speak: for I am a child.

Pastor's life has always been characterized by a prophetic wool. This gifted weaving was noticed from a very tender age. Family members were familiar with his spiritual dreams and visions. For example, before the advent of MTV, alarm systems and space explorations, as a young boy pastor saw moving pictures with music, men walking on the moon and he invented his own alarm system at home. At 6 years old, he had a strong sense of accountability in his behavior. From a young age he had a knowing that he had a special destiny but he didn't know in what way. He was always quick to repent if he said something that was not right. In any case, he was protective of the understanding he had and purposed in his heart to be true to what had been revealed to him. Unfortunately,due to a misunderstanding in his elementary years he got hurt in a confrontation. As a defense against future occurrences, he turned to martial arts for protection. This became a very absorbing interest for a long time. At 24 years while laboring at his Ti Chi workout,the Lord arrested his attention from within. The Lord asked,"Are you going to heaven?" he did not know the Lord's voice nor did he know Jesus as savior. Yet, he had been religious all his life. He had known about Him but he had not known His word on salvation. This question initiated the beginning of a direct,gentle and dynamic shepherding of the Holy Spirit. It also served to energize a response from him that he had not previously known but so thirstily embraced. "What does it mean to be born again?",he asked. The Lord answered by mentioning Nicodemus. "Who is Nicodemus?", he questioned himself?. He opened his bible and on that very page was the answer. The searching and stirring-up continued and the Lord used different people to confirm His message to him. At 24 years old he was born again. He accepted Jesus as his Savior. It marked a milestone in his life. It was a time of change,unlike anything that he had ever known. He cried as the Lord ministered to him through His word. He was ushered out of rituals into a living, vibrant fellowship with Father God. From that time on he began to be aware of and seek the Presence of the Lord. As he grew spiritually, he was understanding that the "Source of prophecy is not for his reputation" but rather a reflection of the fountain of "intimacy that he enjoyed with the Lord".At times, the growing pains were almost unbearable. Yet, the Lord was with him assuring him of His constant presence and faithfulness. This new life was not always predictable but he was learning to walk in faith and to allow the Holy Spirit to temper this new found boldness in a way that only He knows how to do. Soon he was led to pastoral work as a youth pastor where he was ordained. Then in 1989 he stepped out into full time ministry as the pastor of Steadfast Christian Fellowship. Pastor Cataldo meets with regional pastors every Monday and is also part of the Full Gospel Fellowship Of Churches and Ministers international in good standing since 1989. Being accountable to the regional pastors, he enjoys a wealth of diverse fellowship and inspiration which becomes evident in his presentation of the gospel. Pastor Patrick Cataldo is a prophet,teacher and pastor of Steadfast Christian Fellowship in Holbrook,New York. At times he has ministered in other gifts but he has primarily ministered through the prophetic. To God be the glory! He continues to dream and see visions that are particularly relevant to spiritual warfare. He and his wife of 30 years, Josie Cataldo have four grown children, and two grandchild. All attend Steadfast together with the spouses of the two who are married. They support and share in the vision that is embraced at Steadfast Christian Fellowship church.
