Across a career built on consistency, leadership, and expertise, Storm Boswick (Sean Morgan Storm Boswick) has made his mark in asset management, venture capital, and private market investments. His professional focus has centered on navigating public and private equity and debt sectors and offering global strategic advisory services to organizations.
Storm has been an active presence on multiple public and private company boards. He currently serves on the Board of Directors at the UCLA Space Institute, contributing to its Technical and Finance Committees. His international career has taken him across Canada, the United States, Europe, Israel, and the Caribbean. Over the years, he has shared his insights with platforms like CNBC, Bloomberg, CNNfn, and publications like The Wall Street Journal, the Financial Times, Barron’s, and Crain’s.
His educational path began at Ridley College in Ontario before transferring to Choate Rosemary Hall. Later, Storm attended the University of St. Andrews in Scotland, where he completed an MA Honours degree in Economic History and International Relations. While studying there, he served as secretary and president of the International Politics Association, played varsity golf, and conducted research for his Master’s Dissertation at the School of Oriental and African Studies in London.
Storm began his finance career at Goldman Sachs in New York in 1994, joining the investment research division as a financial analyst. In 1996, he moved to J&W Seligman, where he became the youngest partner in the firm’s history. He managed large investment portfolios in the technology, media, and telecom sectors. His path continued at Sigma Capital, where he served as a long/short portfolio manager focused on the same industries. He later founded Brompton Cross Capital, an investment firm centered on public and private technology opportunities.
After leading Brompton Cross Capital, Storm joined Brock Capital Group as a Senior Managing Director. Over over a decade, he advised on private debt portfolios. He worked closely with firms like Medley Capital, Brightwood Capital, and MC Credit, with a reach extending across North America, the United Kingdom, and Asia.
In 2021, Storm transitioned into independent advisory work by establishing TRE Advisors. Through this firm, he focuses on supporting clients in technology and industrial sectors across the Five Eyes alliance and Israel, particularly in areas involving Public/Private Partnerships and Dual-Purpose technologies. He also manages TRE Ventures, a portfolio of venture capital, private equity, and private debt investments aligned with client goals.
In addition to his financial work, Storm has contributed as a writer. His book, Guide to the Universities of Europe, was published in London in 1991 and later received the Choice Award for Outstanding Library Reference. His time at Goldman Sachs also included co-authoring the Publishing Review & Outlook and a pioneering internet report titled Cyberpublishing.
Storm dedicates time to marine conservation efforts outside of finance, including work with the Fabien Cousteau Ocean Learning Center and global coral reef restoration initiatives. As a certified scuba diver, he is actively involved in research and restoration projects. His enduring connection to golf is reflected through his St. Andrews Golf Club membership, showing a balance between professional achievement and personal passion.
