Both Keily and Shakhil start looking for jobs. They especially target for LA, California. Meanwhile, they finish proofreading their theses, defend them successfully and attend the graduation ceremony where they are conferred upon their Ph.D. degrees. A wonderful romance grows.
Keily rounds off her Ph.D. thesis in the second last semester with the approval of Dr. Mili. She is left with documenting her thesis. Meanwhile, the deshi friend asks her help in proofreading his thesis. Keily agrees and dedicates time to it in the afternoons. A wonderful friendship blossoms.
After lengthy research over the web, Keily hits upon a good Ph.D. thesis topic, guided by Dr. Mili. She toils hard at her thesis getting stuck and also overcoming hurdles. A Deshi classmate helps her out. Grace and Lucy will graduate in the current semester. Keily knows she will miss them a lot.
In a new semester, Keily makes a draft broad view for the “Table of Contents” of her thesis. Professor Mili makes corrections on it and gives her ideas about subheadings. Keily works hard to make a good thesis book. She presents her thesis on the defense day and makes it gracefully.
Keily went over the first PDF file and together with Google, she came up with a promising research topic. She gets it approved by Professor Mili and starts working on it in the upcoming semester. Other than this, she has to prepare for quizzes, term exams and projects in the course Software Engg.
Keily takes all the measures to improve her concepts in the Algorithm course and ends up getting A’s in all three courses. She calls back home and talks with her family to celebrate. She decides to work on her thesis on Databases and accordingly talks with the Professor about it.
Keily accompanies Lucy and two other strong guys to Bailey Computers, which is a shop for cheap and old but good functioning computers. After purchasing, the guys help Keily in bringing the computer parts to her apartment. Soon as a week glides away, she comes to know of her midterm exam results.
Keily pays back Grace what she owes the girls regarding buying the necessities before she arrives in the apartment. Her classes begin, and she attends them all. The course Algorithms proves to be a challenge for her while the other two courses that she attends are okay.
Within two hours the techie guys set up a land phone at Keily’s apartment. They leave as soon as Keily finishes testing it. The next day Keily covers several chores for which has she has made a To-Do list. Grace visits her, and the two girls discuss all the stuff Keily still needs to settle down.
Grace shares a dinner with Keily, which she enjoys. The next morning Keily has a nice orientation and registers for the semester courses with the help of her department advisor. Lucy helps her pay her dues for the registered courses.
After having breakfast together, Grace introduces Keily to shuttle rides and shows her around the campus. She helps her to open a savings bank account, where Keily deposits some cash. They go for grocery shopping. Grace then leaves, and Keily starts cooking for sharing a dinner.
Part-14 portrays that there is a delay at Dallas airport. This frustrates Keily. Finally, she reaches Austin airport where her old friends receive her. They take her to their on-campus apartment. After a relishing dinner together, they drop her at her apartment, and Keily struggles to get sleep.
The bus at Heathrow airport halts, and Keily gets off. She finally boards a widely spaced American Airlines airplane which takes her to Dallas. At Dallas, she passes through the immigration area and then collects her luggage and drops them to the right conveyer belt. Keily is ready to fly to Austin.
Keily reaches Dhaka airport. She enjoys her journey to London. When she comes to a vacant place at Heathrow airport following the directions, she comes to know she has to take the bus. After she gets on the bus, she feels scared as she is only surrounded by a small group of Non-English speaking men.
Keily is refused the visa the first time round at the American Embassy; on the second attempt, much to her happiness, she acquires it. She covers all the formalities, does all the shopping and purchases a ticket for her flight. She is ready to fly for an awesome journey, leaving her comfort zone.
Part-10 portrays Keily being appointed as a full-time lecturer in the university. She gains popularity for her lucid teaching. Meanwhile, she applies abroad for higher studies. She is accepted finally to a US university. She is ready to face the interview at the American Embassy.
Part-9 shows Keily loving the campus and classmates at Dad’s university, Keily enjoying two years of complete bliss when her Dad passes away, herself graduating from his university as a tribute to him and finally Keily learning of a surprise for her from the university when it is time for job hunts.
Part-8 shows Keily attending A-Level classes at school, her preparation for the A-levels with time pressure, herself rising to the challenge and getting over them with results satisfying her, Keily wanting to go abroad for undergraduate studies but her Dad asking her to attend his university.
Part-7 portrays Keily getting her O-level result and her immediate reactions, Dad helping her to decide to pursue A-levels instead of the English version of Bengali medium HSC, and Keily feeling good about Dad’s choice.
Part-6 shows seven years had passed in the meantime. Keily was in grade 9 and wasn’t excelling in her studies like before. Dad gave her more liberty, without interfering much in her academic lessons. Keily faced the first biggest academic examination of her life, O-level exams. Read on.
Part-5 shows Keily visiting the park along with family, herself working too hard over her workbook, Mom and Dad celebrating the baby's first birthday, and Keily sneaking out to the living room after the party was over to study advanced lessons all by herself.
