My name is Sylvie, I'm from Montreal, Canada. I'm actually French Canadian, but speak and write English more often than French. I've been writing poems and lyrics since i was 17, which means for a long time. I've done some article writing for a small town newspaper. I have a Certificate in Journalism from Concorida University.
As far back as i can remember i've always loved writing, started out trying to mix different song lyrics from popular songs which of course sounded just awful. I've done some acting, modeling, i took music in high school and know how to play the clarinet, saxophone as well as the flute. Although i do write lyrics, I am musically changelled as i don't know how to write music to my own lyrics.
I'm a single mother and i love music, movies, i rarely watch television, and my computer is my best friend.
I love to write music and movie reviews. I also like other activities like walking, swimming and spending time with my now adult daughter.
Most of my poetry is personaly, but the few people who have read it, have told me they liked it. I've always been wary to sharing my poetry, but have been posting some in the past year.
I am working on a poetry project which of course will not be put up here, because i do want it to be published someday. It's a project that blends two of my loves the songs of Depeche Mode and my poetry writing. I'm more than half way through that project.
I also have quite a few other writing projects. I have a few novels that i'm working on. I have in the past managed to write and finish three full length novels, only to lose them. I have ever since been trying to rewrite those three novels. I don't like to plot too much, i'd rather just sit and write whatever comes out. My preferred method of writing poetry is writing them down on paper, and then moving on to the computer where there's usually some editing that takes place. Any poem can take me from a few minutes to a few weeks for me to complete it.
Do not be shy to leave me comments, as i do appreciate the feedback. If you have any questions don't hesitate, just ask.
I thinks that's about it for me. I hope you enjoy yourself while reading my work.
