Hello Tom The Cat is my name. I believe in fairness, honesty and helping those whom are taken advantage of (for whatever reason), by others! I am as endless as the wind of change that blows through life and this industry. It seems as though I have been on the net for several life times, yet I am as fresh and as passioate about life as I was in a previous life. I am not a special person, nor even average: I am a Cat. In the six lives that I have left, I am going to clean up the smelliest part of this litterbox that we call the net!
From what I have seen, the Smelliest Part of writing on the Internet is: the wholesale Plagiarism that genuine writers are expected to merely accept. I do not accept that and even though I am a very influential cat, (with very influential friends) I do not believe that any party can justify article theft, or what is sold to unsuspectng authors as being an Industry Requirement, to give up one's ability to sue those websites that share income gained from original content. Many believe that such market control and manipulation (along with certain monetization factors) provide both direct and indirect income opportunities directly for plagiarists and more alarmingly, indirectly for those sites that provide No Effective Anti Plagiarism protection for those innocent parties, who help develop the worth of any 'writing' site: The Writers!!
As a writer (in another life) Tom The Cat has been very successful and has personally busted and destroyed several scammers and content thieves. Tom with the help of many others, has been able to petition Industry change and force parties to Act Legally and Fairly, in their recognition and professional relationships, with those who contribute positively to the world via their writing and creativity.
Won't you join the rest of us in this media genre and learn what your personal rights are (irrespective of ANY executed TOS). You will be joining a large group of multi skilled peers dealing directly and effectively with Plagiarism, Copyright Infrigement and Income Issues. Right Now most writing sites are hoping that the Class Action against a 'Content Site' that has been referred to as 'Huffington's Ghost' will Not Be Settled in Favor of the Contributors! They are of course, collectively the Plaintiff in this case, they will win and that win will change this industry, in your favor also. This is a National and International claim. It will set Legal Precedence.
If you are sick of watching your work, your traffic and your income raped and undermined, then consider what can be done about rectifying things, when you have the human, legal and professional resources always there, to provide you a support base of people who care, when things go wrong!
Think about it and follow Tom The Cat here. Tom is a hell of alot more than just a roaming reporter. Tom The Cat is Changing This Industry. Dirty Rubbish Bins and Litter Boxes, along with those who greedyly polute our Writing Environment have been served notice - that is more than we got, when our work was stolen! Was it not?
Oh did I mention that this collective will shortly number 10,000 Independant Writers and Site Owners? Is that enough opportunity for you? Do you think Adsense matters when you cut out middlemen and are collectively endorsed by other businesses that are happy to pay you for your skills? Did I mention that the members actually collectively own the organization? I guess if I was a business I would want to deal with honest professionals and visionaries! Get the message?
