VGalloway-Chapa is the Managing Director of Lyric Stage in Dallas, Texas where she oversees the education program. She has over 20 years experience in Arts Education and Management. As the former Director of Education & Outreach at Casa Manana, Inc., she produced the Betty Lynn Buckley Awards program honoring excellence in high school musical theatre, ran a highly successful 700 student theatre school and supervised all outreach efforts for the company including HQ-Arts Professional Development program for the Fort Worth ISD, the Everman Project, Casa Kids Touring Troupe and Casa Playaz Touring Troupe.
Her teaching experience spans all levels of theatre from the university level to pre-school creative dramatics. She is a sought after workshop leader in the areas of theatre management, directing for youth and audition techniques. VGalloway-Chapa also served as the Director of Cultural Arts Programming for the Boys & Girls Clubs of Greater Fort Worth developing curricula for over 14,000 youth in the performing, visual and literary arts.
VGalloway-Chapa holds a Master of Fine Arts degree in Directing from the University of Mississippi and a Bachelor’s degree in Theatre Arts and Management from Middle Tennessee State University. She is also a graduate of Ruth Sweet’s Acting Studio Conservatory at the Tennessee Performing Arts Center, a full time professional actor-training program.
